Abdul Kadir Molla City College in Narsingdi town has recorded outstanding success in the HSC examinations under Dhaka board this year. All the 447 students who appeared in the 2015 exams passed, with 380 getting GPA-5. Of the GPA-5 achievers, 181 are from Science group, 157 from Commerce group and 42 from Humanities group. Moreover, Narsingdi Model College also secured good results, with all 452 examinees coming out successful, with 128 receiving GPA-5. As the results were published yesterday, students of the colleges celebrated jubilantly, beating drums, dancing and singing and distributing sweets among themselves on their respective campuses.
Teachers of Kadir Molla College said adopting an improved teaching methodology contributed to the success of the students. “We continue to upgrade the teaching ability of our teachers through training. We also take a lot of care of our students through tutoring and counselling,” said Mashiur Rahman Mridha, principal of the college. Mridha also praised the teachers, saying their dedication contributed to the success of the students. The private college, which was established in 2006, got second place in the Dhaka Education Board in 2014, 2013 and 2012, and placed seventh and fifth respectively in 2011 and 2009. However, this year, colleges were not listed according to their results.
