Sharlin, Parambrata in TV fiction of Feluda series

Prodosh Chandra Mitra, commonly known as Feluda, is a fictional Bengali private investigator starring in a series of Bengali novels of Indian fictional detective novels and short stories written by Indian Bengali film director and writer Satyajit Ray. Feluda has had been filmed at times, with the character been played by Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Abir Chatterjee and Shashi Kapoor. Satyajit Ray directed two Feluda movies— ‘Sonar Kella’ (1974) and ‘Joi Baba Felunath’ (1978).

This time around, a TV fiction with the story of Feluda is underway for the viewers of Bangladesh on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. In this fiction titled ‘Shiyal Devotar Rohosso’, Indian Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee is playing the role of Feluda. Sharlin Farzana is enacting a character named Munmun opposite Parambrata. With the target of telecasting on four or five TV channels simultaneously during coming Eid, the fiction is being made under the direction of Aniruddho.

Parambrata said about working in the fiction, “It feels amazing to act in this fiction of Feluda series. We all are trying to complete the work wonderfully. Besides, web series is nowadays a very popular format in the international arena. I hope the viewers will like it.”

Sharlin Farzana said, “A TV fiction of Feluda series is being made in Bangladesh for the first time. This is fascinating for me that I am working in it. I am trying to portray the character in an appropriate manner. I hope it will be a new experience for me this Eid.”

Among other Bangladeshi artistes, Tariq Anam Khan and Shahed are playing in the fiction, whose shooting is underway at the different locations in the capital.
