Heavy rain submerged many streets of the port city on Friday, leaving the normal life in disarray.

The low-lying areas of the city, including Muradpur, Chakbazar, Sholosohor, Agrabad and Halishohor areas, went under knee-deep water due to the torrential rain that started early Friday and continued till 10 am, causing immense sufferings to the city dwellers.
