Youth hacked to death in Keraniganj

A young man was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants at Pohorivita Agrokhola area under the upazila on Saturday.

The deceased is Jahirul Mia, 28, son of Khaleq Mia, of Choto Belna area under the upazila.

Sub-inspector M. Elias Hossain of Keraniganj Model Police Station said: "A gang of miscreants swooped on Jahir and hacked him with sharp weapons on Saturday afternoon, leaving him dead on the spot."

Receiving information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital morgue.

Jahir was murdered over some previous enmity, suspected the police.
