Incidnets of sporadic clashes and violence have been reported in different parts of the country. So far, 5 poeple have lost their lives in electoral violence in Chittagong, Noakhali and Jamalpur. A police official have also been injured.
A man has been killed in a stampede in the Rajganj Union of Noakhali. Another 10 people were also injured in the incident. In Durgapur Union, voting was postponed at the Durgapur Government Primary School center over allegations of ballot box hijacking. Voting was postponed at the Birampur Government Primary School center in Brahmanbaria's Sadov-pur Union after a blast attack. In Jamalpur, a man was killed in a clash between 2 groups over ballot box hijacking in Bahadura-bad union. Fifteen others were also injured. Meanwhile, 10 people were injured in a clash at the Yusufpur Government Primary School center in Laxmipur. Similar incidents of violence were also reported in a number of polling centers in Chittagong, Munshiganj and Comilla.
