Who does not want a healthy and supple skin? But our exposure to pollution, chemical products, and our unhealthy diet and lifestyle habits often make that a distant dream.

You would be surprised to know that our skin cells regenerate after every few weeks. Good practices such as exfoliating, cleansing may help remove dead cells sheath and bring back the radiant sheen. Additionally, by taking care of your diet and staying hydrated, you can give your skin a natural boost, making you look more youthful and fresh.

So what makes hydration important for good skin. Just like a plant, our body needs water to thrive and carry out a few essential bodily functions. Skin is the largest organ in our body, by drinking more and more water and fluids, you make your skin more plump, smooth and resilient. We agree, the plain taste of water could get monotonous at times, but no one ever said that hydration only requires you to drink water day in and day out. You can always liven things up with home-made juices and detox drinks.

This cucumber-coriander juice is seasonal, refreshing and just the natural tonic you need right now for your dull skin.

Cucumber, as you would know, is 95 percent water. Yes, the vegetable is all water and nutrients.

Coriander leaves on the other hand is teeming with antioxidants too. Antioxidants fight free radical activity, free radical damage may take a toll on your skin and make it wrinkly and lifeless.

This green juice is very alkaline in nature too, it soothes your body and cleanses your body from excess toxins.

How to make cucumber and coriander juice:

Ingredients:

1. 1 small to medium sized cucumber, sliced
2. 5-7 grams of coriander leaves
3. 1 tsp lemon juice

Method:

1. Take a blender, and add cucumber, coriander leaves and blend. If the consistency is too thick you can add a teaspoon or two of water. Add citrusy punch of lemon juice and blend again.

2. Strain and drink the juice.

3. For best results, drink this juice once every two days. Since the idea is to load up on all things seasonal. You can add some mint leaves into the concoction too!
