NBR bags Tk 311.85cr on the 5th day

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) collected Tk 311,85,39,874 crore on the fifth day of the week-long Income tax fair.   

On the fifth day of the fair, a total of 1,06,200 taxpayers submitted income tax returns throughout the country and all the fair venues including divisional headquarters and central one at the officers’ club in the capital yesterday.     

Some 2,90,834 people received services related to income tax payment from taxmen.

Some 4,965 people have registered in electronic tax identification number (e-TIN).

This statistics show the eagerness and enthusiasm of people for paying tax, said NBR officials during the fair.

In total, The National Board of Revenue (NBR) collected Tk 1658,65,65,386 crore on the four- day of the week-long Income tax fair.     

In total of 4,20,765 taxpayers submitted income tax returns throughout the country and all the fair venues including divisional headquarters and central one at the officers’ club in the capital yesterday.       

Some 1,25,741 people received services related to income tax payment from taxmen.

Some 21,506 people have registered in electronic tax identification number (e-TIN).

The fair will continue in all the divisional cities including the Capital till November 20.

National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said the fair would be held in all the district headquarters for four days while for two days in 48 upazilas. Besides, a one-day ‘mobile income tax fair’ will be held at eight growth centers at upazila-level.

The slogan of this edition of the fair is “Sobai Mile Dibo Kor, Desh Hobe Swanirbhor’ while the theme of the fair has been set at “Voluntaryparticipation in paying taxes, implementation of vision is ensured”.
