Popular Bangladeshi theatre troupe Natya Teertha will stage the 102th show of its much-acclaimed production titled ‘Dwip’ today at 7pm at the Mahila Samiti in the capital’s Baily Road area.

The play is set to be staged on the second day of 10-day drama festival titled ‘Bangla Natya Utsab’. Moreover, as part of the festival, two Indian plays titled ‘Ontargata Agun’ by Shubham Natya Chakra from Tripura and ‘Honua Ka Beta’ by Bhabikal Theatre Group from Assam will be staged at the National Theatre Hall and Experimental Theatre Hall of BSA respectively this evening.

Celebrating the completion of Mahakal Natya Sampraday’s three-decade journey in the theatre world, the troupe has organised the festival featuring Bangla dramas from Bangladesh and three other Bangla-speaking states of neighbouring India. l
