Abul Hayat in Father’s Day special projects

DL REPORTER, Dhaka
Abul Hayat in Father’s Day special projects

National Film Award and Ekushey Padak-winning veteran actor-playwright-director Abul Hayat have worked in two special projects made on the eve of the upcoming Father’s Day (June 16). The actor will appear as a model in a music video titled ‘Baba’, and as a father in a tele-drama titled ‘Akkhep’ directed by Maksudur Rahman Bishal.

The song ‘Baba’ has been rendered by ‘Close Up 1’-famed singer Pulok. Lyricist Jamal Hossain has written the song while Muhin Khan has done the music arrangement of the song.

Two-day shooting of the music video under the direction of Musafir Sayed was completed on June 10 in Chattogram.

DhakaLive has news that young popular actor Irfan Sazzad has enacted the role of Abul Hayat’s son in the music video ‘Baba’.

About working as a model, Abul Hayat said, “Both the lyric and tune of the song are very emotional. The lyricist has written the song with a lot of passion. As a music composer, Muhin has tuned the song amazingly. Pulok also sang the song with lots of enthusiasm. As a result, I became very emotional while working in the music video.”

“The music video portrays the lamentation of a son for his departed father”, Hayat added to reveal the concept of the music video.

The music video will be released on the official YouTube channel of Rangan Music on the Father’s Day.

The veteran actor is also optimistic about his Father’s Day tele-drama ‘Akkhep’. He said, “Director Bishal has tried to bring out a beautiful story for the viewers. Actor Nayeem has portrayed the role of my son in the drama. Sharmily Ahmed and Tasnia Farin have played their roles wonderfully. I am hopeful about ‘Akkhep’.”

The shooting of the tele-drama was completed before the last Eid-ul-Fitr.
