Swashbuckling batter and keeper, former Kiwi international Brendon McCullum faced heat from passionate Bangladesh supporters after his prediction about Bangladesh's possible dismal outing in the World Cup came out false. Most fans accused McCullum of disrespecting Bangladesh, and not being aware of the fact that tigers have emerged as a major cricketing nation globally consistently winning against fancied teams.

McCullum had posted picture of a diary entry on social media, where he had made predictions about which team would be making the top four. McCullum's picks were England, India, Australia and New Zealand.

For Bangladesh, ex-Kiwi international had an unflattering assumption that they will lose all the matches except a solitary win against Sri Lanka.

But Bangladesh players proved him wrong by registering a comprehensive win against Proteas on Sunday. Right from the word go, Bangladesh dominated scoring an imposing 330 and later South Africa lost wickets consistently losing the match by 21 runs.

This naturally lead to Bangladeshi fans attacking McCullum for getting his predictions wrong. It finally forced McCullum to react in his twitter in which he said, ''Impressive performance from @BCBtigers to defeat @OfficialCSA. I expected SA to win but Bangladesh played well. In regards to my predictions, thanks for the feedback on getting this one wrong. Won’t be the last but average at the end will look alright I think. Can’t win em all''
