WC theme song for Tigers unveiled

Keeping the ensuing ICC Cricket World Cup in mind, Bangladesh are taking their last moment preparation in Cardiff. This time the supporters of Bangladesh expect that their beloved team will fare well further in the showpiece event.

The team will go into the top four teams or semi-final berths of the 50-over extravaganza event. There will have the support of more than 170 million people of the country for the Bangladesh team. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and its team rights holder Unilever Bangladesh Limited jointly unveiled the official theme song of the Bangladesh Cricket Team to give them the impetus to do well in the flagship event. The title of the theme song is “Khalbe Tigers, Jitbe Tigers, Tigers fans roaring, can you hear”- written by Pullok Anil, composed by Emon Chakrabartee and Zoyat lent a voice in it.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury formally announced the unveiling of the theme song at the media block of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur yesterday. This time Bangladesh Cricket Team led by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza joined the programme from Cardiff through Skype after ending their anti-doping programme, set by International Cricket Council (ICC) along with coaching staffs.

Seeking blessings for the team, Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza in his impromptu speech lauded the theme song and thanked the team rights-holders Unilever for making such an amazing song for them.

“The theme song has been unparallel,” said Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.

“I thanked Unilever for making such an amazing song for the Bangladesh team,” Mashrafe told through Skype.

“I want blessings from the people for the team,” he added   

BCB director and its publication committee chairman Jalal Younus and Nafees Anwar, marketing director of Unilever Bangladesh were also present on the occasion. Jalal said that the theme song will work as a motivation. He also informed that It has been dedicated to the Bangladesh Team in World Cup.

Nafees said that

“Five fingers have been shown in all the pictures of the video, meaning Bangladesh need to win just five matches to go into the next stage of the World Cup. In case of voice, it has been kept people of all the stratum of the people, means that Bangladesh has been united for the support of the team and the entire country will have stayed with the team,” Nafees Anwar said.

“Even some good memories of the Bangladesh team in the erstwhile World Cup has nicely been presented through the video,” Nafees told media  

Regarding the theme song, Pullock Anil said, “To be honest, I have needed a seven-to-eight minute to write the song. The view was clear. As I am in the advertising sector, I know how to write a song easily if the view of the matter is clear to me.”

“Some feeling is not expressed in words. But this song will represent Bangladesh till the next World Cup,” Anil, the songwriter told The Independent after the programme.

“I want to see Bangladesh in the final and champion in the World Cup,” he responded to a query.
