Cabinet reshuffled for quality works: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said the reshuffle in the cabinet was done to speed up works and improve the quality of works in ministries.

"The reshuffle in the cabinet is needed to facilitate works in ministries which are going on as per the directive of the Prime Minister," he said at a press briefing at Shetu Bhaban.

Replying to a question about his health condition, Obaidul said, "Now, I'm weak but I hope I'll regain my speed of work soon."

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reshuffled her cabinet on Sunday. 

As per the reshuffle, Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar has been made minister for the Posts and Telecommunications Division while State Minister for Information and Communications Technology Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak got the responsibility of Information and Technology Division as state minister.

Besides, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Murad Hassan has been made State Minister for Information Ministry.

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam has been made the Minister for Local Government Division while State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives ShawpanBhattacharjee the State Minister for Rural Development and Cooperatives Division.UNB
