AL activist shot dead in Bandarban

A ruling Awami League activist was shot dead by criminals after abduction in the Sadar upazila of Bandarban on early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Kya Ching Thowai Marma, 27, son of Ta U Thowai Marma. He was an activist of Awami League's ward number 5 unit in Rajbila union.

Police said armed criminals barged into Kya Ching's house and abducted him around 2am.

Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said "He was found dead with gunshot wounds about an hour later at number 8 Punorbason Para."
