Concert for child rights awareness Friday

A concert for child rights awareness will be held on Friday at around 5:30pm at the Krishibid Institute Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in the capital. Distressed Children and Infants (DCI) International and Rights and Sight for Children (RSC), two non-profit organisations, working for child rights, organised the event.

The performers include Sabina Yasmin, who is a DCI Goodwill Ambassador, DCI advocate Hassan Abidur Reja Jewel, Benuka Institution of Fine Arts, Sun Child musical team and others singers of the country.  Noted film actress Babita, also a DCI Goodwill Ambassador, will also welcome the guests through a video message.

Dr Ehsan Hoque, founder and executive director of DCI said this at a press conference at a hotel of Guslan area of the capital.  Dr AK Abdul Momen, minister of foreign affairs is scheduled to be present during the concert. Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam, RSC chairman Dr Mohammad Abdul Mazid and Prof Secretary General of BIRDEM General Hospital AK Azad Khan will speak before the concert.

Singer Sabina Yasmin and Debate for Democracy Chairman Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran were present at the press conference.
