Third death anniversary of Diti today

Today is the third death anniversary of Parveen Sultana Diti, who was a very amiable, talented and immensely popular film actress of the country.  

Born on March 31, 1965 in Sonargaon of Narayanganj, Parveen Sultana Diti acted on both big and small screens besides working as a model in many television commercials in her lifetime. Diti made her acting debut in 1984 with the film titled ‘Dak Diye Jai’ directed by Udayan Chowdhury. But very, unfortunately, the film was not released for some reasons. Her first released film was ‘Ami-e Ustad’ directed by Ajmal Huda. Actor Ujjal was seen playing the role of her elder brother in the film. Subsequently, she acted over 200 films in her career.

Diti-acted notable films are ‘Dui Jibon’, ‘Bhai Bondhu’, ‘Kathin Protishodh’, ‘Sneher Pratidan’, ‘Ajker Hangama’, ‘Kalia’, ‘Charam Aghat’, ‘Mukti’, ‘Char Satiner Ghar’, ‘Lady Inspector’, ‘Sesh Opahar’ and ‘Hira Moti’, among others.

Diti was diagnosed with brain cancer on 25 July in 2015. Then, she was treated in Chennai, India, and died on 20 March in 2016 at a hospital in Dhaka.
