Bashundhara Kings, one of the top favourites among the title contenders first time dropped points when they were forced to share points with the lowly Team BJMC in the Bangladesh Premier League after a goalless draw yesterday at the Shaheed Bhulu Stadium in Noakhali. Bashundhara, who have been moving ahead like an indomitable when they maintained all winning record in a row in the previous five matches, unbelievably lost one point to BJMC at their (BJMC) home ground.

It was an opportunity for Bashundhara to join with Abahani in the points table with winning the match but due to losing points they now in the second position with 16 points from six outings when Abahani are on top with 18 from seven encounters. Bashundhara, though had to play with 10-man but it was only for 13 minutes when they were reduced to ten men after their defender Nasir Uddin Chowdhury had marching order after committing fouled to Samsong Illiasu.

Bashundhara, who looked were not on their pick in the full opening 45 minutes and could not also play with good organization and rare cross the mid circle and failed to open any chances.

Though after the break produced some attacks but were not good enough to break the BJMC defense to score goals.

The favourites were enough lucky not to concede a goal when Mahbubur Rahman Shufil just made a goal-line save. This time Bashundhara goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico came out leaving post wide open and Abdul Halim of BJMC midfielder intelligently shot the ball into the post but Shufil ran faster and able to save the team just from the goal-line.

Rahmatganj v Muktijoddha

In the day’s other match of the league was also ended in draw when Rahmatganj came from behind to force Muktijoddha share points in a 2-2 drawn game at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.  Ballo Famoussa scored two goals for Muktijoddha in the first half when Sohel Rana and Chowmin Rakhain scored a piece for Rahmatganj to finish the game on 2-2.
