In the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF), a record amount of Tk seven crore was collected as value added tax (VAT).
The DITF ended on Saturday which witnessed an average VAT collection of over Tk 50 lakh in the last week.
Talking to the news agency, National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain today said Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate of Dhaka West collected Tk seven crore as VAT from the DITF which was Tk five crore in the last edition of DITF.
