Afzal Hossain, an evergreen actor on screen, has other identities as well. The actor is also a recognized director, painter and a writer.

This year, Afzal Hossain is set to launch two of his new books at the Ekushey Boi Mela (Book Fair), titled ‘19 Number Kobita Mokam’ and ‘Saban Makha Roud’ today.

While the poetry book ‘19 Number Kobita Mokam’ contains over 50 poems, the book ‘Saban Makha Roud’ contains both published and unpublished novels on different issues. The books have been published by Ananya Prokashoni.

DhakaLive has news that in connection of publishing new books by Afzal Hossain, a get together will be held today at 3pm on the premises of Chhayanaut at Dhanmondi in the capital.

Afzal Hossain said, “On the eve of Ekushey Boi Mela, both readers and writers come together with a unique good feeling. For this, writers intend to publish their books keeping this fair in mind. I also think the same.”

“As there are more buyers at this time of the year, writers want to offer their best works to the maximum number of readers. My endeavour is also the same,” he added.

Last year, the writer published two volumes of novels, one of which is titled ‘Chaar Dorja’, containing four novels, and ‘Jahangir Badshah’r Ghora’, containing 12 novels.
