Chinese New Year celebration at InterContinental Dhaka

To celebrate Chinese New Year, the biggest cultural celebration of Chinese people, InterContinental Dhaka is set to serve flavoursome Chinese themed buffet at its all-day dining restaurant Elements from today, said a press release.

The celebration of Chinese New Year will be continued till February 8.

Chinese New Year is a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving, steeped in many traditions and themes of good luck, fortune, happiness, wealth and longevity. The New Year’s Eve feast symbolizes family unity while honouring past and present generations. Red is considered to be the main colour of this festival, as red is believed to be an auspicious colour in Chinese culture.

InterContinental Dhaka has decorated its restaurants, Café Social and Elements, with Chinese lucky red artefacts that have been installed in the hotel landing to bring a Chinese festive look at InterContinental Dhaka.  It also depicts a small china town inside the lobby with Chinese Lanterns, Fans, Red Couplets with Chinese wishes. Away from China, the guests would be able to enjoy the ambiance, food and décor of Chinese culture. Guests will also find two red dragons to welcome them at Elements restaurant.

The dinner price for Chinese New Year will be BDT4500 all inclusive (Tax & Service Charge). per person. Also, special card offers are available for this festival. l
