Bangladesh mercurial captain Macramé Bin Mortise will not play T20 for the Tigers that will provide an extra advantage for the visiting West Indies tent because a good leader is always an advantage whether it is a team or a group or a nation for their success.

Anything could be gone awry due to dearth of a good leader as regarding as there are many more instances in world history.

West Indies spin consultant Mushtaq Ahmed echoed the sentiment, stating that a good captain is always a factor for a team. But he said that if they could play their strength they will have every possibility to triumph against any team on any condition.

“It does. A good leader does make a huge difference because a good leader holds the team well. When you have a good leader and he is holding a team well, it’s always an advantage,” said Mushtaq Ahmed. “But we don’t see people, we don’t see anything else,” Mushtaq told media after their optional practice session at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

“We’ve to play our way and remember our strength. And hopefully if we can do that and execute our skills well, we can win against any team,” he added.

The Windies spin consultant acknowledged the matter what others believed that the more the format gets shorter the more the Caribbean side become stronger. But he also said that they are still developing in one-day cricket.

“This is obviously a good headline because this is the brand of cricket West Indies play. They’re a good T20 team,” the spin consultant said.

“But they’re developing in 50 overs also; they’re developing in Test cricket. So they’re bringing lots of focus into 50-over and Test cricket also,” he viewed.

“But it’s a new team, lots of young people, they are learning the brand of international cricket and hopefully sooner or later they can deliver the skill for their nation,” he continued.

West Indies are getting the service of Evin Lewis and Pooran in the next series of the Twenty20 international, by which their Bangladesh tour will be folded, that gave an additional edge for them.

“I think Evin Lewis is back. Pooran is playing very good cricket. There are other guys, as I said there are young people, new blood. But they just need to understand the matter of playing longer and how to win games,” he said.

“I fully believe that those guys are good cricketers, they are the best people, they are lovely to work with. I think they are going to play lots of good cricket,” he added.
