Acronis, the world’s number one data and disaster recovery solution provider enters the Bangladesh information communication technology (ICT) market with Dhaka Distributions, a local IT company as the local partner, says a press release.

November 6 marked the date for Acronis in Bangladesh with two major events held in Dhaka: one featuring over 200 channel partners from across the country and the other with more than 100 representatives of the corporate sector across various verticals.

Maxim Mitrokhin, Senior Sales Director, Grace Chen, Senior Marketing Manager and William Too, Senior Sales Engineer from Acronis Asia operations attended both events. Mitrokhin said: “It is exciting to extend our horizons in Bangladesh and we believe it has been the right step at the right time. We share the same goals for a Digital Bangladesh. And coming here and interacting with so many channel partners and corporate representatives today, we can see that the country has leaped forward towards digital empowerment.”

Prabeer Sarkar, CEO of Dhaka Distributions quoted: “We are extremely happy that Acronis has come into Bangladesh on positively glocal terms. We are proud to be their partner and we will leverage our experience and track records in the local market in this partnership. We are ready to move ahead with Acronis.”
