‘Drug trader’ killed in Jashore ‘gunfight’

A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported gunfight between two groups of drug peddlers at Mangalgati in Sadar upazila early Tuesday, reports unb.

Both of the deceased are around 30-year old, said Apurba Hasan, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

Being informed about a gunfight between two groups of drug traders in the area, a team of police conducted a drive around 4 am, said the OC.

Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the gang members fled away the scene.

Later, the team recovered the bullet-hit body, two kilogram hemp and 200 Yaba tablets from the spot, the OC added.
