Siddiqur Rahman new BGMEA president

Siddiqur Rahman has been appointed as the president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) through consensus for the next two years.

Siddiqur Rahman, who is the chairman of the Sterling Group, and also a former vice president of the BGMEA, was chosen from the Sammilito Parishad Panel. The newly elected board will take responsibility from the existing board lead by President Md Atiqul Islam on Tuesday. Five people from Dhaka and 2 from Chittagong were selected as vice presidents.
