Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is organizing a month-long programme from today marking the National Mourning Day and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports BSS.

The month-long programme will begin at 11 am with the inauguration of an exhibition on Bangabandhu at Chithrashala Bhaban of the academy.

Shilpakala Academy Director General Liakat Ali Lucky will inaugurate the month-long programme, Lecturer of Fine Arts Department of Shilpakala Academy and Convener of the programme Sujan Mahbub told BSS.

In the exhibition, around 50 paintings on Bangabandhu by eminent artists will be exhibited, he said, adding some rare photos of Bangabandhu will also be on the display there.

The other programmes include songs on Bangabandhu by children, staging the drama ‘Mujib Mane Mukti’ and recitation of pomes.
