Chevron provides support for quality education

Chevron Bangladesh will provide financial support to improve quality of teaching in four schools in Bibiyana gas field area, reports UNB.

In a press release, the US oil and gas company said in its efforts to boost quality education in its areas of operation under its social investment programmes, Chevron has continued its support of four schools near its Bibiyana Gas Field.

A simple ceremony was held recently with representatives of the four selected schools at the gas field.

The funds will enable school management to recruit additional faculty in English, Science and Mathematics to improve quality of teaching in those subjects.

Three teachers will be engaged in each institution for the academic year, for a total of 12 in four schools, said Chevron.
