Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon announced a staggering bonus of Tk two crore for Bangladesh women's cricket team for their jaw-dropping performance in the seventh Women's T20 Asia Cup in Malaysia.

Nazmul said that they've formed a working committee led by BCB director Enayet Hossain Siraj to assess the needs and facility for the eves' team so that they get more facilities in days to come.

"It's not a few days work. We've started working for women's cricket since 2014 just after the World Cup when Bangladesh eves team thrashed their Sri Lankan counterparts in the World Cup," said Nazmul Hassan Papon.

"We've arranged a comprehensive training for the women's team centering the Women's T20 Asia Cup. We've organised it first in Khulna in January, Cox's Bazar in February and March-April in Khulna," Nazmul told media after BCB iftar party at the Pan pacific Sonargaon hotel yesterday.

"Before going to Malaysia, the team held a week-long intense practice in Sylhet. As for it, they have done this outstanding performance though they lost their opener. They swept into final beating India and Pakistan in the first leg and then they beat six-time Asia cup champions India to rack up the first-ever Asia cup," he added

Before the iftar party, an executive board meeting was taken place where some decisions were taken with the above decision.

BCB president said that they have formed a committee to assess the needs and facility and report them.

"We will take necessary and effective steps for the women's cricket team so that they could be performed further," he said.

"We have already brought a new coaching set-up for the women's cricket team. Actually we've kept no lacking of the team," he continued.

BCB boss also said that they have approved regional cricket association in the meeting which will come into effect after the approval from the annual general meeting.

"We will start the regional cricket in four divisions including Rajshahi, Rangpur, Chattogram and Sylhet. The BCB directors in the respective areas will start acting," he informed.

"They will start working with regional cricket academy and launch regional cricket league," he added.

After landing the team in Dhaka, they come to hotel  where BCB arranged a reception programme in honour of the victorious team.

Bangladesh Test and T20 captain Shakib al Hasan and wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim greeted the them with bouquet as soon as arriving the hotel ground.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder, who also greeted the conquered eves team, declared to build a Cricket Academy for the women's cricket players under the auspices of his ministry.

Private mobile operator Robi Axiata gifted iPhone6 to the members of the victorious women's cricket team.
