‘Altabanu’ on small screen during Eid-ul-Fitr
Anisur Rahman Milon and Zakia Bari Mamo in ‘Altabanu’

National Film Award winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo-starrer latest film ‘Altabanu’ will be aired on Channel i during Eid-ul-Fitr. Directed by Arun Chowdhury, the film was released on April 20 this year.

‘Altabanu’ revolves around the character of Alta and her struggles in life. Mamo plays the titular role in the film. Based on a story by Faridur Reza Sagor, the screenplay is written by Brindaban Das and Arun Chowdhury. Giving up her glamorous avatar, Mamo appears in a new look opposite actor Anisur Rahman Milon in the film.  

Mamo said, “‘Altabanu’ is a beautiful film. The audience will travel with story from the beginning till the end. I can say that the story will touch the hearts of the audience. I hope the audience will like the film.”

Besides, Mamo and Milon, senior actress Dilara Zaman also played a unique role in the film. She said, “I don’t Know how long I can work. But it’s a satisfaction, that at the end of my life I worked for a good film like ‘AltaBanu’. If the audiences watch the film, they can understand how carefully we worked for the film.”  

The other important cast of the film includes Naresh Bhuiyan, Saberi Alam, Ahsanul Haq Minu, Mamunur Rashid, Shamima Nazneen, Raisul Islam Asad and others.
