Kuntal Barai’s solo art exhibition ends today

A 16-day solo art exhibition by Kuntal Barai titled ‘Displaced in Dhaka’ will end today at Alliance Française de Dhaka, reports UNB.

Academic, urban expert and art writer Prof Nazrul Islam inaugurated the exhibition on May 2 as the chief guest.

Art critic Mustafa Jaman attended the opening function as the guest of honour and he also discussed on this painting on May 15 in a discussion event ‘Artist Talk’.

A total of 100 artworks were put on displays which are done with mixed media, printing and acrylic.

Kuntal Barai, a young artist, did his BFA and MFA from the Painting department of University of Development Alternative. He has attended more than 20 group exhibitions at home and abroad.

He got the ‘Honorable Award’ for the 17th Asian Art Biennale by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
