Mim Mantasha crowned ‘Lux Channel i Superstar 2018’

Mim Mantasha, students of Fine Arts in Jahangirnagar University has grabbed this year’s Lux Channel i Superstar 2018 crown.

The name of the winner was announced by the judges at the Grand Finale held at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre on Friday. Sarowar Azad Brishti became the first runner up of this year’s competition, while the second runner-up is Samia Athoi.

Among twelve thousand participants across the country, Samia Athoi, Mim Mantasha, Sarwat Azad, Ishrat  Zaheen and Nabeela Afroz made their journey till the finale through various tasks such as photo shoot, acting, dancing, modelling sessions and many more

Mim received five lakh taka and a brand new car, while Brishti got four and Athoi got three lakh taka. Besides,  Mim will get the opportunity to become the brand ambassador of Lux Bangladesh. She will also get the opportunity to receive training at Bangladesh Film and Television Academy, and to work on television and feature film projects of Impress Telefilm.

Faridur Reza Sagar, managing director of Channel i, handed over the prizes to them.

This year’s judges panel of Lux Channel i Superstar’ had comprised of film star Arifin Shuvo, model Sadia Islam Mou and singer Tahsan.

In the grand finale, cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor, dramatist Ali Zaker and actress Rumana Rashid Ishita were present as guest judges.

For the very first time ever, three former Lux Super Stars--Mim, Mehazabien and Momo, performed together on the same stage. Another attraction of the event was the performance by the three judges-- Mou, Tahsan and Arifin Shuvo.
