A new daily soap titled ‘Gramer Naam Shimulpur’, produced by Directorate General of Family Planning, is set to go on air from March 18 on Channel i.

A press meet held at Channel i studio on Tuesday to disclose detailed information about the upcoming daily soap. Director General of DGFP Additional Secretary Dr Kazi Mustafa Sarwar, Join Secretary, Director IEM & Line Director IEC, DGFP Soleman Khan, Head of Creative & Expressions Social of Expressions Ltd Tropa Majumdar, General Manager of Programme Dept. of Channel i Amirul Islam, playwright Mejbah Uddin Suman, director of the play Georgis Bashar, actors of the play and other top officials from Directorate General of Family Planning and Channel i were present at the event.                 

Speakers at the press meet informed that different family planning services, early marriage, early pregnancy, reproductive health care, antenatal and neonatal care, services for adolescents are the main subjects of this serial. This daily soap is aimed to create awareness amongst the viewers on mentioned topics.

‘Gramer Naam Shimulpur’ will be aired on Channel i on every Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 5:30 pm, while every Monday and Tuesday at 6:00 pm and every Thursday at 6:30 pm.    

This daily soap is produced under the supervision of Expressions Ltd, written by Mejbah Uddin Suman and directed by Georgis Bashar. The main cast includes Arman Parvez Murad, Majnun Mizan, Tajin Ahmed, Moushumi Hamid, Shahed Khan, Shamima Tushty and Borda Mithu.
