Joy Bangla Concert in capital March 7

Joy Bangla Concert, 2018 will be held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in the capital on Wednesday for the fourth time, reports UNB.

Young Bangla, one of the leading youth networks of Bangladesh, organise the event on March 7 every year, marking the historic Racecourse speech that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered on this day in 1971.

The celebration will be more historic this year as UNESCO recognised the historic March 7speech of Bangabandhu as part of the world’s documentary heritage at the end of the last year.

This year’s lineup features Powersurge, Arbovirus, Shunno, Nemesis, Cryptic Fate, Lalon, Chirkutt and Artcell.

Authorities said entry is free again this year while fans will have to do a simple online registration with national ID, mobile number and email to get their free entry passes.

Registration will continue from1 to 6 March 2018. The gates will remain open from1:30pm while show time is scheduled from 3:15pm to 10:30pm

Interested people can register themselves on ticket.youngbangla.org.

Besides, this is the first time Young Bangla is taking the musical show outside Dhaka. It will be held at Sylhet and Khulna on March 2 and 5 respectively.

‘Road to 7th March Concert’ will be held on Friday at the Abul Mal Abdul Muhit Sports Complex playground with the performance of the leading rock bands Mechanix and Nemesis.

These two bands will perform again on Monday (March 5) at the Circuit House ground in Khulna.
