4-day drama festival begins at SUST

A four-day long drama festival titled ‘Bandhaner Bish, Valobasa Aharnish’ began at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Thursday.

‘Theatre SUST’, a drama organisation, organised the 6th edition of the festival along with a reunion programme for the first time marking its 20-year anniversary.

Prof Dr Ilias Uddin Biswas inaugurated the programme at university’s Muktamanch around 2pm while Prof Dr Himadri Shekhor Roy, Prof Amina Parvin were, among others, present.

Some stage dramas -- ‘Hason Raja’, ‘Condemned Cell’, ‘Manipuri Theatre’ and ‘Ingal Adhar Pala’ -- will be staged gradually every day at central auditorium, said Sabbir Ahmed Raju, convener of the festival.
