SC accepts gazette notification

The Supreme Court has accepted the gazette notification on the disciplinary rules for lower court judges.

A five-member Appellate Division bench, led by acting Chief Justice Abdul Wahhab Miah, passed the order earlier today. The acting Chief Justice said that the new rules have increased the power of the apex court.

He also observed that some media outlets are making unnecessary comments on the issue without understanding it. The government issued the gazette notification on 11th December last year.
