Bizarre beauty trends of 2017

They say fashion knows no limits and we can't agree more. Every year, we get to see some of the most bizarre and quirkiest yet cringy fashion moments from all around the world that prove imagination and creativity have no boundaries. 2017 was the year of fearlessly striking beauty vogues and here are the top 5 most bizarre trends that dominated the beauty world this year and have already pushed boundaries. Starting off with:

NOSE HAIR EXTENSIONS

It sounds ridiculous, but alas! It's true. One of the most talked about trends this year, nose hair extensions can make anyone cringe so hard and is an absolutely weird trend. Totally gross, the trend went viral when an Instagram user uploaded a picture of hers with the false eyelashes stuck to her nostrils.

SPARKLING LIPS

"Leave a sparkle everywhere you go" but it's certainly not the case here as you can drink and party without losing any of your sparkle and still look just awesome as ever. Remember the moment when Taylor Swift came up the dramatic red glittery lips in 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' music video and looked absolutely sultry and mysterious? Since then, it's raining glitter everywhere and there was certainly no shortage of shimmer anywhere on the runway from clothes to lips to hair.

UNICORN EYELINER

2017 saw the make-up maniacs getting obsessed with unicorn looks - from brushes to palettes to unicorn eyeliners, almost everything unicorn became a trend. And, if you have perfect hand-eye coordination, then no one in the world could stop you from mastering this art. It involves applying the eyeliner in the shape of a unicorn's horn, using some neon colors and glitter, somewhat like the ever popular cat eye look. We can't help but admire how magical and glamorous it looks all at the same time.

CROWN BROWS

The aspiring make-up artists on Instagram and various other social channels came up with a very freakish concept of crown eyebrows. With feather and dragon eyebrows already viral, the crown eyebrow trend just added to the experimental eyebrow craze. And, this was all thanks to 18-year-old Sofie Petersen, who gave us an alternative to regular thick and bushy brows. Well, according to Sofie, all you need to replicate this trend is a some petroleum jelly to spike up your brow hair and place silver rhinestones on the tip of the spiked hair. Can we just call them eyebrows on fleek?

HOLOGRAPHIC HAIR

The beauty trends took a major leap this year when stylists and beauty bloggers introduced the world to everything holographic. Move on from rainbow coloured hair to holographic hair. Holographic hair is officially one of the hottest beauty trends of 2017. The hair seem like a compact disk when exposed to sun dispersing off a pretty colour combination of blue, green and yellow and the hair changes colour just like a CD would. Our hair is having their very own futuristic moment with pastel hues of pink and blue and we can't be happier. The result is so gorgeous.
