Suu Kyi to soon understand crisis: Kamal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that Suu Kyi was lying when she said that she does not know why the Rohingya people are fleeing their country. Kamal said that the Rohingyas are fleeing their country in the face of persecution.

He made the comments during an interview with Independent Television on Tuesday. 

Minister added that he will be visiting Myanmar in the first week of October to discuss the Rohingya issue. He hoped that Suu Kyi will soon understand the extent of the crisis.

Kamal also said that Rohingyas have been sent back to Myanmar in the past, and will be sent back home again. Kamal said that Bangladesh wants a peaceful solution to the crisis.
