2 students killed in Ctg road accident

Two students were killed as a bus hit their motorcycle on Akhtaruzzaman flyover in city's Muradpur area on Friday. 

The deceased were identified as Abdul Ahad, 25, a fourth-year student of English Department at city's Premier University and Kasib Hamid, 24, a degree first-year student of Government Hazi Mohammad Mohshin College. 

Police and eyewitness said the accident occurred when a Chittagong-bound passengers bus hit a motorcycle in the area around 2.30 pm, leaving the bike riders critically injured on the spot.

The wounded were rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared them dead, said Mohammad Alauddin Talukdar, assistant sub-inspector of CMCH police outpost.

Police detained the bus and arrested its driver and helper.bss.
