Bus collision kills 4 in Gopalganj

At least four people were killed and 23 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses on Dhaka-Barisal highway at Chagolchera area in Muksudpur upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as - Abul Shikder, 45, a bus driver, Kawser, 15, of Barguna, Monoj Kumar, 45, of Madaripur district and Munni Akter, 18, hailing from Bhola.

Officer in Charge of Muksudpur Police Station Azizur Rahman said a Barisal-bound bus of BRTC collided head-on with Dhaka-bound bus of Golden Line at 1:30pm leaving Abul Shikder and Kawser dead on the spot.

The injured were taken to upazila health complex where doctors declared Monoj and Munni dead.unb
