CHITTAGONG: A share investor on Thursday committed suicide at his Ashkar Dighirpar residence in the port city.

The deceased – Dildar Ahmed (56) – was found hanging from the ceiling by a scarf of his room at around 1:00pm.

“Dildar invested a huge sum in the stockmarket and lost almost all of his investment over the last one year which made him totally depressed,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotowali Police Station Abul Kalam Azad said quoting Dildar’s family sources.

This might be the prime reason for Dildar to take his own life, but however, we are not sure of the real cause behind the suicide, Azad added.

“An unnatural death case has been filed in this regard,” he confirmed.
