China has proposed the Belt and Road Initiative as it enters a new era. The implementation of the initiative will promote the infrastructure construction and socioeconomic development of involved countries. Through the initiative, China will make greater contributions to the world and exert its influence on the international stage.

The Belt and Road Initiative requires more people-to-people exchanges. It will further connect relevant countries, promote their peace and prosperity and drive the implementation of specific projects. The cooperation projects must bring short-term and long-term benefits to the peoples' wellbeing. The local media, with their advantageous resources and channels, can help tell the stories of Belt and Road cooperation, thus achieving unexpected good results. We should seek shared growth and win-win outcomes through extensive discussion and collaboration. The Chinese leaders have repeatedly stressed that the Belt and Road construction is a chorus rather than a solo. We should join in the chorus. Before we implement a project, we should conduct feasibility studies and market analyses and adapt it to local conditions.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. The past five years has witnessed great progress in the Belt and Road construction, but from a historical perspective it is just the beginning. In the next five years or a longer period, the Belt and Road Initiative will surely yield more results. It will enhance the mutual understanding among different peoples and promote the communication and exchanges between the world and China.
