Srishti Cultural Centre set to perform in Nepal

Reputed Bangladeshi dance troupe Srishti Cultural Centre is set to perform at a programme on the occasion of Bangladesh’s Victory Day in Nepal. The artistes of Srishti Cultural Centre will present their performance at the Army Officers Club Auditorium in Kathmandu, Nepal tomorrow.

Led by Anisul Islam Hero, artistes Yasmin Labonno, Sanjida Hossain, Ruhul Amin, Susmita Basak, Rajasree Barman, Mushfiqur Rahman and Zahidul Sani will perform traditional dances of Bangladesh at the programme.

Alongside the traditional dance performed by the troupe, the team leader of Srishti Cultural Centre Anisul Islam Hero will perform a solo Bharatanatyam piece at the event. He said, “We will perform at the Victory Day programme at the invitation of Bangladesh Ambassador in Kathmandu Mashfee Binte Shams. It’s a matter of pride for us that we are going to present our culture in the foreign soil.”

“We are also scheduled to perform at the Youth Festival on December 18, which will be held in Pokhara, Nepal”, Hero added.

Apart from Nepal tour, the artistes of Srishti will also visit South Korea to perform at the International Migrants Day programme on December 20. The event will be organised by Abida Islam, the ambassador of Bangladesh in South Korea. l
