No room for Tigers in PSL

None of the Bangladeshi cricketers have been picked up for fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League 2020 after no franchises shown interest on Bangladesh players listed in the PSL players’ draft chart.

While the fifth edition of the PSL will entirely be held in Pakistan from 20 February 20 to 22 March 2020, a total of 23 Bangladesh players including Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mutafizur Rahman, Liton Das, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat were in the PSL players’ draft, held on December 6.

All the 23 players were placed in three separate categories in the draft-diamond, gold and silver in which Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mutafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin were in the diamond category. A total of ten cricketers- Liton Das, Mohammad Mithun, Taskin Ahmad, Mosaddek Hossain, Afif Hossain, Mehedy Hasan Miraz, Aminul Islam Biplob, Al Amin Hossain, Alok Kapali and Abul Hasan were placed in the gold category while nine players- Mohammad Naim, Farhad Reza, Saif Hasan, Sabbir Rahman, Abu Haider Rony, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddiqui, Muktar Ali and Anamul Haque were listed in the silver category.

Earlier, Tamim Iqbal (Peshawar Zalmi), Mahmudullah Riyad (Quetta Gladiators), Sabbir Rahman(Peshawar Zalmi),  and Mustafizur Rahman (Lahore Qalandars) all played for different franchises in the PSL.
