ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup from Nov 12

Bangladesh Emerging Team head coach Champaka Ramanayaka said he is hopeful of the team they have prepared for the upcoming ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup-2019.

Champka also said they want to reach their initial target of the semifinals by playing match by match approach though their ultimate target is to play the final of the tournament.

“I’m happy to see their improvement which has been done through High Performance,” Champaka Ramanayaka said, adding that he is hopeful of their youngsters.

The squad has been formed by the mix of the national and potential HP team’s players. Currently 11 players are practicing under the supervision of the head coach. A total of four current national team’s players have been included in the team, the quartet who are now busy in India for T20 International series against top-notch India will be returned home from there after the conclusion of the T20 series.

The national selectors already prepared the team and sent for the president’s approval. They are Soumya Sarkar, Aminul Islam Biplob, Abu Haider Rony, Naim Sheikh.

Bangladesh will be hosted the Emerging Teams Asia Cup for the second time since 2017.

Bangladesh has completed their arrangement and are ready to host the upcoming fourth edition of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup-2019, organised by Asian Cricket Council (ACC). AEM Kawser, coordinator of the tournament and senior national manager of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Games Development, stated to media after holding a coordination meeting at the National Cricket Academy of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur yesterday.
