‘Drug trader’ killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’

2 bullet-hit bodies recovered

Two bullet hit bodies were recovered by police from two places in Jibannagar and Moheshpur upazilas of Jhenidah yesterday. The deceased were identified as Imran Hossain, 26, son of Abdur Rahman of Mosjidpara in Alamdanga upazila town and Litu Rahman, 28, son of Anisur Rahman of village Bademajepur in Alamdanga upazila of the district.

Ferdous Wahed, Jibannagar police OC, a villager of Utholy in the upazila found the body of Imran Hossain at crop field of village Utholy.  Police later recovered the body and sent to sadar hospital for autopsy. A case was filed in this regard.  Besides, another bullet hit body was found at a village in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenedah by a villager. Mohespur police recovered the body.  Munsi Asaduzzaman, OC of Alamdanga police station said, Imran Hossain was accused 13 cases and Litu Hossain is accused 5 different cases.

UNB adds: A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Border Guard Bangladesh at Delpara village in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Nurul Islam, 32, son of Abdul Gafur of ward no. 4 of the municipality.
