Deaf T20 Tri-nation to kick off tomorrow

Deaf T20 Tri-nation Cricket Series-2018 is all set to get underway with the participation of Pakistan and India along with the hosts Bangladesh from September 14 (Friday).

Participating foreign teams- Pakistan and India-are scheduled to arrive here in Dhaka today, one day before the meet.

Fatullah’s Khan Osman Ali Stadium will host all the matches of the tournament, sponsored by Walton Group, which will be evolved through the double league system.

Bangladesh Deaf Sports Foundation (BDSF) vice president Zakir Hossain Khan disclosed all at a press conference at a local city hotel yesterday. Uday Hakim, deputy executive director of Walton Group, Milton Ahmed, senior additional director of the same group and Anisul Islam Nipu, manager and coordinator of the BDSF, among others, were also present. Bangladesh squad: Shahriar Ahmed Chowdhury (capt), Russell Ahmed, Wahidul Alam Mamun, Afsar Uddin Riyad, Aksar Ahmed, Ahmed Abdullah Al Hasib (wc), Rubel Hossain, Sohel Ahmed, Imran Khan, Ahmed Nafees Imtiaz Deep, GM Mahbubur Rahman, Emmi Chowhdury, Akib Mahmud, Saidur Rahman and Raihan Monir.
