President of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Mohammed Salahuddin, who is extremely shocked with the result of Bangladesh team in the ongoing SAFF Suzuki Cup Football Championship, will make an inquiry to know the grounds of the failures.

Bangladesh, who was woefully eliminated from the group stage despite winning their first two matches and critics from all quarters blaming the wrong decision to form the playing squad.

Specially, in the last match of group stage, when Bangladesh needed only a draw against Nepal, suffered defeat when a lackluster performance of goalkeeper downed the team.

Goalkeeper Shahidul Alam Sohel, who made the great blunder during the match against Nepal, which caused the elimination of Bangladesh when he was

not in the camp of the national team in three months residential camp and even did not go in the conditioning camp in Qatar, South Korea and in Jakarta, he was fielded in the SAFF tournament, which was big question the reason of his inclusion in the crucial SAFF tournament.

Salahuddin, when met the reporters yesterday with all the queries, of inclusion of Shahidul Alam and some other players also who were actually not fit to play 90 minutes and some of the young players watch matches from the side benches.

However, Salahuddin also the president of the SAFF said, “I am also shocked like all and also like you but it happen in football but unfortunately it has been happening against us.”

“I started the enquiry about it, before having report from the coach and the manager I can’t tell you anything, the reason behind.”

“It very, if team loses then every one blames the coach, president of the federation, very natural, now I will have to find the ground, actually what happened.”

Replying to a query, Salahuddin said, “Definitely, it will effect in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup, but all have to understand, that here is not all end, it is our job, we have to looking forward to our ultimate target, forgetting the past.”

“I have started the inquiry to come across the real fact and picture, said Salahuddin.
