Low pressure formed over NW Bay

A low pressure has been formed over the North West Bay of Bengal yesterday. The Met Office has asked the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’sBazar, Mongla and Payra to hoist local cautionary signal no.3.

It also asked the fishing boats and trawlers working in the north Bay to stay close to the coast and negotiate the sea cautiously.  The boats also were asked not to venture into the deep sea until further notice.

Met Office sources said, the low has turned the Bay rough with high winds blowing over the sea and the coastal areas.

This has also impacted the rainfall reducing them that has led to sultry weather prevailing over the country with high humidity.
