Green Chowmein Recipe

If you are bored of ordinary dishes made with noodles, then here is a recipe that you will certainly love for sure. This dish doesn't uses the common sauces and ingredients used in preparing the noodle recipes and is healthier than most of the Chinese dishes. Cooked using chowmein, a paste made of coriander leaves and veggies like onion, cabbage and carrot, this Fusion recipe is absolutely delicious. Green Chowmein is a relief from all those ordinary dishes that you keep gorging on!

Ingredients of Green Chowmein

250 gm chinese noodles
5 cloves chopped garlic
2 carrot
4 crushed to paste green chilli
water as required
2 onion
1/2 cabbage
4 bunches coriander leaves
5 tablespoon refined oil

How to make Green Chowmein

Step 1

To prepare this chowmein recipe, put a large pan over high falme and boil water in it and then add chowmein along with a little salt and 1 tablespoon of oil. Stir once and boil the chowmein until soft. Once done, drain the extra water and wash under cold water in order to avoid stickiness. Keep it aside.

Step 2

Now, heat oil into a skillet over medium flame and add chopped onion along with garlic in it. Saute for a while.

Step 3

Next, add cabbage juliennes (cut into strips and thin slices) and carrot in the skillet, and mix well. Meanwhile, wash the coriander leaves and grind them to a thick paste, and keep it aside until required.

Step 4

Finally, add boiled chowmein in the skillet and add salt as per your taste. Mix well once again. Now, add coriander paste along with green chilli paste and combine them well. Cook for 2-3 minutes and serve immediately. (Optional: You can garnish with boiled eggs, tomato slices and sauteed carrot and cabbage slices.)
