Ten-day art exhibition at Abinta Gallery

Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts, along with Oriental Painting Study Group (OPSG), has organised a grand exhibition titled ‘The Oriental’, the 8th Oriental Painting Exhibition, in the capital’s Badda area.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held yesterday. Among others, ex high commissioner Faruq Sobhan, noted artists Rafiqun Nabi, Professor Nisar Hosain and art critic Borhanuddin Khan Jahangir and Country Manager of Marks & Spencer in Bangladesh, Shwapna Bhowmick were scheduled to attend the event.

The ten-day exhibition is set to showcase beautiful artworks based on Oriental Arts in a number of total 60 artworks. The artworks were collected from all around the nation, which includes the artworks of students of fine art, self-taught artists and regular visual artists. From the total number of selected 60 artworks, top three artists will be awarded for their best artwork prior to the judgment of jury board.

The exhibition remains open to all every day from 10am to 8:30pm (except Monday) until August 13.
