Classic Baru Sandwich Recipe

Baru is traditionally a Continental sandwich. Cheese, tomato, and gherkins in a French bun make it a breakfast delight. Do try it out on a weekend when you want to indulge in good food.

Ingredients of Classic Baru Sandwich

18 gm lamb
10 ml red wine
2 Egg
1/3 cup veg mayonnaise
2 chicken sausage
10 gm canned cocktail onions
1 pinch salt
1 lettuce head
30 gm sliced tomato
40 gm Pommery Mustard
30 gm bacon
10 gm chicken salami
60 ml Refined oil
20 gm lettuce loose-leaf
20 gm butter
10 gm gherkins
2 gm black pepper
30 gm panko breadcrumbs
1 piece Ciabatta Bread
80 gm French fries

How to make Classic Baru Sandwich

Step 1

Flatten the tenderloin and marinate with rosemary and olive oil with some red wine.

Step 2

Grill the bacon on a hot pan till is slightly brown and crispy. Fold the chicken salami to be placed on top of the sliced bread.

Step 3

Heat the 2/3 bread slices, Pommery mayonnaise on the slice. Arrange lettuce, sliced tomato, cocktail onions & gherkins on top of the Pommery mayonnaise bread slice.

Step 4

Place the folded chicken salami on top of the layered bread slice. Now gently stack the grilled bacon on top of chicken salami.

Step 5

Place the cooked tenderloin on top of grilled bacon. Fry one egg sunny side up, and place it on top of the chicken.

Step 6

The sandwich can be served with chicken sausages and a bowl of potato salad on the side.

Step 7

Arrange lettuce head, sandwich, potato salad & sausages as shown in the food shot. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
