World Vision president visits Bangladesh

Humanitarian organisation World Vision International’s President Kevin J. Jenkins has visited World Vision’s programme during his two-day visit to Bangladesh, reports UNB. His second time visit in Bangladesh mainly focused on interaction with community people including children being served by World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) for witnessing significant changes in their lives through various programmes such as, Myanmar refugee response programme, economic development, livelihood and other human aspects. Jenkins arrived in Dhaka on March 6 and went to Cox’s Bazar on the following day for visiting Myanmar refugee response programme in different refugee camps, said an official.

He also visited different World Vision’s programmes in the city and interacted with women group leaders, community based organisation (CBO) and children on Thursday.

Kevin also joined International Women’s day programme in World Vision’s Dhaka office and greeted staffs especially women on this special day.

Jenkins is accompanied by his communication officer Nigel Marsh, acting leader for World Vision South Asia and Pacific region Norbert Hsu, and Chief Executive officer of World Vision Australia Claire Rogers.
